On corner entry, the car stops using grip to slow down and starts using it to turn. Put longitudinal G, lateral G, and G-sum together. You are looking for a clean handoff instead of a big empty gap between the two jobs.

The main idea

The cleaner lap usually has less waiting between slowing down and turning. That does not mean every corner should draw the same perfect curve. The line, speed, and exit still decide whether the transition worked.

What to look at

  • Where longitudinal deceleration begins to release
  • Where lateral acceleration starts building
  • Combined G through the handoff
  • The resulting path, minimum speed, and exit

Try this

  • Select two clean comparable laps
  • Align by track position
  • Inspect the entry traces and G-G movement
  • Locate gaps or abrupt changes
  • Confirm any improvement survives the corner

Keep in mind

Acceleration shows vehicle motion, not steering angle or pedal position. Do not label an acceleration pattern as exact trail braking without direct inputs or video.
