Which AiM devices work with iPhone apps?
Direct iPhone downloads generally require a Wi-Fi-enabled AiM logger and an app that understands that device’s session protocol and file format. Delta currently targets Solo 2, Solo 2 DL, Wi-Fi-enabled MX dashes, EVO6 and EVO6L, and XLog. Compatibility should still be confirmed against the exact model, firmware, and channels before an event.

| Device family | Delta target | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Solo 2 | Yes | Wi-Fi, firmware, real download |
| Solo 2 DL | Yes | Wi-Fi plus recorded ECU channels |
| MX dash loggers | Wi-Fi-enabled models | Exact model and session listing |
| EVO6 and EVO6L | Yes | Firmware and Wi-Fi workflow |
| XLog | Yes | Firmware and file compatibility |
| Older non-Wi-Fi Solo | No direct Wi-Fi download | Use desktop or file-import workflow |
Wi-Fi is necessary but not sufficient
The phone must reach the logger, list sessions, transfer the complete file, and parse that device’s data. A successful Wi-Fi connection alone does not prove full compatibility.
Verify with a real session
- Connect to the exact device
- Confirm sessions list correctly
- Download a completed real session
- Check lap count, track path, and timestamps
- Check expected DL or dash channels and units
- Open the saved session again with no internet connection
Older AiM devices
An older logger without Wi-Fi cannot use the same direct phone workflow. It may still be usable through a desktop download and a supported file-import path in another application.
Beta compatibility
Delta is in beta. Treat the supported-family list as the starting point, then report the exact model, firmware, and failed stage if a logger does not behave as expected.
FAQ
Does every AiM device with Wi-Fi automatically work?
No. The app must also support the session-listing protocol, transfer behavior, and recorded file format for that model and firmware.
Does Delta work with the original Solo?
The direct workflow requires Wi-Fi. Older non-Wi-Fi Solo models need a different desktop or file-import workflow.
How should I report an unsupported device?
Include the exact model, firmware, whether Wi-Fi connected, whether sessions listed, whether transfer completed, and which channels were missing or incorrect. Do not include private session data unless you intentionally choose to share it.
