How to download AiM Solo 2 data to an iPhone
Turn on the Solo 2, enable its Wi-Fi, join the Solo’s network in iPhone Settings, and open a compatible app such as Delta or RaceStudio 3. Select the sessions on the logger and download them while you remain connected to the AiM network. No laptop or internet connection is required for Delta’s download flow.

Before you start
- Charge or power the AiM logger
- Confirm Wi-Fi is enabled on the logger
- Keep the iPhone close to the car or bike
- Open the app once before arriving at a track with weak service
Download with Delta
- Open iPhone Settings and join the AiM Wi-Fi network
- Return to Delta and open Connect
- Wait for the logger and its session list to appear
- Select the sessions you want and start the download
- Leave Delta open and stay on the AiM Wi-Fi until the transfer completes
Why the internet may disappear
The AiM creates a local Wi-Fi network so your phone can talk directly to the logger. That network normally has no internet connection. This is expected. Delta’s download and review flow is designed to continue locally.
If the Solo does not appear
- Verify the phone is still joined to the AiM network
- Move closer and keep the logger awake
- Temporarily disable automatic joining of another nearby Wi-Fi network
- Power-cycle the logger if its Wi-Fi has stopped responding
FAQ
Does the AiM Solo 2 need cellular service?
No. The phone and logger communicate over the logger’s local Wi-Fi network.
Can I download sessions in the paddock?
Yes. That is the main use case: transfer a completed session while you are back in the paddock and review it before the next run.
Should I disconnect from the AiM during transfer?
No. Remain connected to the AiM Wi-Fi and keep the app open until the selected downloads finish.
