How to review lap data between track sessions
Download the completed session, remove partial or impossible laps, compare the fastest clean lap with another representative lap, find the largest repeatable difference, and choose one action for the next session. Do not spend the entire break searching every channel or building a perfect theoretical lap.

1. Clean the session
Reject out laps, in laps, red-flag laps, pit-lane fragments, alternate starts, and times that are impossible for the circuit. A bad fastest lap corrupts every comparison that follows.
2. Choose representative laps
Start with the fastest valid lap and the next-best lap from similar conditions. A repeatable lap often teaches more than a single exceptional or traffic-affected lap.
3. Find one difference
- A braking point that moved substantially
- A minimum speed that changed through one corner
- A line that shortened distance without hurting exit speed
- A section where several laps lose time in the same way
4. Leave with an instruction
Translate the data into one observable action such as brake one marker later, release sooner, or prioritize exit speed. Recheck that one section after the next run.
FAQ
How many laps should I compare?
Two clean laps are enough to start. Add more only to determine whether a difference is repeatable.
Should I always use the fastest lap?
Only if it is complete and representative. Reject partial, impossible, alternate-start, pit, or timing-error laps first.
What if every corner looks different?
Choose the largest repeatable difference or the easiest action to execute safely in the next session.
