What telemetry cannot tell you

The logger cannot tell you something it never measured. GPS data knows where the car went, how fast it moved, and how it accelerated. It does not know exactly what your feet, hands, tires, or brain were doing unless you recorded those things too.

Recorded

Start with what was actually recorded. Only move to an explanation when another channel or video supports it.

The main idea

You can still learn something useful without knowing the exact cause. Say what changed, show the evidence, and pick a safe way to test it again.

What to look at

  • Which channels were directly recorded
  • Which values were calculated
  • Sensor rate, units, orientation, and gaps
  • Context supplied by video, notes, and the driver

  • Inventory the available channels
  • Separate measurements from derivations
  • Use names such as slowdown onset and acceleration pickup for GPS estimates
  • Seek confirming evidence
  • State the remaining limitation beside the recommendation

Keep in mind

AI loves filling in missing information with a story that sounds smart. Make it point to the channel that supports each claim. If there is no channel, call it a guess.
